Rapid Alterations Gives Back to the Community
Rapids Alterations support those who serve: military, law enforcement, fire dept, EMT, etc. All get discounts on their uniforms and never receive a rush charge.
Salvation Army Coat Drive
We help by collecting gently used coats and accessories which the Salvation Army is able to give to those who need them.
We’re different because if you have a decent coat with a rip or broken zipper, we’ll repair the coat or replace the zipper and then pass it on to the Salvation Army. Most places accepting donations will throw away damaged items.
We collect around 600 items annually.
Prom It Forward
The first season raised $6,000 and $8,000 the second season for a total of $14,000 being raised to help girls and women who have been sexually assaulted, abused and trafficked. Formal dresses are donated. The dresses are then displayed and sold from $10-$250. Dresses have been bought for Holly Ball, Adult Proms, Cruises, Family Pictures, Galas Homecoming and Prom. 100% of the proceeds go to the Central MN Sexual Assault Center. RA staff has hundreds of hours invested in the project.
